Laura and Luke met up with me at Ballintoy Harbour for their adventure session. I don’t know what it is about me that attracts extreme wind, but this was another shoot that had us getting whipped in the face with hair, and sea foam! We chose sunset as our shoot time, and what a brilliant decision. The light was beautiful, the harbour wasn’t crowded, and we were able to have an adventure, do some climbing and have a good chat along the way.
Laura actually has been on my radar for a long while now. She was the first person to buy some of my embroidery hoops that I sell (over on instagram @ hannahjuliamakes – shameless I know) so it was so nice to finally meet up with her, and of course Luke as well. When they got in touch about having an adventure session in Ballintoy I was so excited. It’s so lovely when the chat is as easy as it was with these two guys! Believe it or not, I get nervous to meet my couples! I always have a fear that they won’t like me, or that I’ll not give them a good enough time. So coming away from a shoot feeling like you’ve made friends is honestly one of the most unreal feelings. I meet lots of people through my work, so when I really click with people it makes the whole experience so beautiful. And to top it off, I’m photographing their wedding too!
I am LOVING the adventure sessions. If you want something a bit more than your regular, run of the mill engagement or couples shoot, then this might be for you. If you’re up for some epic climbing, getting into the sea on a cold day or getting up at the crack of dawn and adventuring with me, then definitely consider it!
If you’d like to know more about the Adventure Sessions then get in touch via my contact page! I’d love to come along with you to your favourite adventure spot, or suggest some new ones for you!
