Is there anything better for a photographer than a Mussenden Temple Engagement session to start off your Saturday morning? I’ll tell you the answer; definitely not! Ben and Kiri got in touch just after they got engaged in the new year. They were so keen to have their engagement photo shoot at Mussenden Temple as it was where they had their first date *awww*.
We had planned to get there at sunrise, but there had been a big old storm the night before and the weather was a bit on the ropey side. So we pushed it back to 9am. If I had been worried that the beautiful sunrise colours would be gone by then I was proved very wrong.
The three of us had such a good time exploring, meeting sheep, climbing ruins, and slip-sliding in the mud. It’s so easy to see how relaxed Ben and Kiri were, and their love is that beautiful kind of understated that just hums through the air. They were the best kind of people to photograph; funny, warm and super in love. And very clearly best friends too.
Fun fact! Their wedding next year will be the third one in the family that I’ve shot! You can check out Ben’s sister’s weddings here and here. McClelland weddings are by far the best weddings, and I’ve no doubt that this one will be no exception.
