I would like think that Anita and Paul’s intimate home wedding was the start of the trend (probably not, but I can but dream!).
It was the Monday 23rd March 2020, about 12pm, and my phone buzzed in my pocket as I was cleaning my kitchen. ‘Hannah, I have a very random request. Paul and I are getting married today as we think that we’re going to go into lockdown very soon. The plan is to get married in the living room at 5pm, are you free to take some pictures for us?’ A quick phone call later and the plan was set!
Originally to get married in April, Anita and Paul had brought their wedding forward to Wednesday 25th March thinking that they’d have a garden wedding and maybe a party next year, but intuition told them different. And weren’t they smart?! I got home from their beautiful intimate home wedding, had my tea, and lockdown was announced for the next day!
